Disturbed solitude

Robert Browning said: “Who hears music, feels his solitude / Peopled at once.”

Tiff says: What, like the main character in a film? The poor guy who can’t go anywhere without being followed by an invisible orchestra? That’s got to be the worst thing ever. You take someone out for a nice romantic walk along the seafront… and then suddenly you hear the music and know that your romantic solitude has been peopled by an entire string section, like the world’s noisiest chaperones.

Thank you. That is the kind of comment that deserves to be pressed and put into an album for whenever I’m feeling down, like pressing flowers to remind one of summer in February.

I shall try to keep deserving it!
